Year labels follow the above colours, on a ten year basis, but do not include dark green, mauve or dark grey.

Below is useful information for those interested in alphabetic filing.

Shown above is a our range of colour coded labels used for the filing of Medical Records. Our COLOCODE system is inexpensive, user friendly and can control alphabetic misfiles. Our products are specifically designed for Medical records management, Doctor's surgeries, Practice managers and Records management in any large file area. We also provide numeric, plain and baby size colour coding. As a price guide:

For the larger Practice (5,000 and up), we recommend you colour code both the first and second letter of the surname. Price examples are:

5,000 patients - £223.03	12,000 patients - £419.87
8,000 patients - £291.61	14,000 patients - £457.76
10,000 patients - £355.88	15,000 patients - £476.26

For the smaller Practice (under 5,000 patients), we think filing by the first letter of the surname will suffice. It is simple to add on the second letter at a later date as the Practice expands. Or perhaps you’ll want to add on the second label for the more popular letters of the alphabet. Price examples for the first letter only are:

3,000 patients - £113.62

4,000 patients - £132.25

We maintain lists showing how many individual letters we suggest you would need to match the size of your Practice and your chosen method of colour coding. Please call us for a breakdown. Most computers can do a ‘search’ of at least how many names per first letter of the surname your Practice has. You can then fax this to us and we’ll break it down into how many rolls of 500’s and 100’s you’ll need.

These figures cover surnames in a typical distribution of letters of the alphabet, and allow for a small carryover to accommodate new patients joining the Practice.

All rolls are packed in dispensers of 500 or 100 except for Standard Plain and Numbers which are in boxes of 1,000. Orders are subject to a minimum charge of £8.00 incl. VAT. which is about 4 rolls of 100 or 1 roll of 500.Click here for Colocode prices.
